The American Theater Wing and The Broadway League announced, this Tuesday (30), the nominees for the 77th edition of the Tony Awards, which will reward the best productions in North American theater.
The names were read by actors Jesse Tyler Ferguson, from “Modern Family”, and Renée Elise Goldsberry, Tony winner for Best Actress for “Hamilton”.
The 2024 Tony Awards ceremony will be held in New York, on June 16, and will feature a presentation by Ariana DeBose, winner of the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for “Amor, Sublime Amor”, who held the position in the edition last year.
Among the nominees for this year's Tony Awards are names like Jessica Lange (“King Kong” and “Blue Sky”), Rachel McAdams (“Mean Girls” and “Spotlight”), Eddie Redmayne (“Les Misérables” and “A Theory of Everything”), Daniel Radcliffe (“Harry Potter”) and Jim Parsons (“The Big Bang Theroy” and “The Boys In The Band”).
The most nominated play was “Stereophonic”, which leads with 13 nominations. The one that received the same number of nominations was “Hell's Kitchen”, which leads among musicals.
