“I was born Nicolò and I became Tony.” It is with this declaration that Tony Effe, Nicolò Rapisarda aka, opens his autobiography I didn’t want but I am, Exit for Mondadori Electa on May 27th. A memoir that traces artistic ascent, youth errors, sentimental relationships, football dreams and pop feuds. Including, of course, The lawsuit with Fedez and the rumor (never confirmed) on an alleged liaison with Chiara Ferragni.
It all started in March 2024, when Tony Effe Public Iconhis second solo album. It is a sensational success. “He exploded,” writes Tony, “and he (Fedez, ed) who as soon as he sees a little hype we sling up, started getting closer After our roads had separated ».
Fedez intercepts him in the gym, as the Roman rapper tells: “He asked me to make a featuring. A piece for the summer. He was on a fixed because we had to go out in pairs. But I already had my summer piece and I told him no, politely». The single in question was Sex and sambaengraved with Gaia, who will prove to be a hit.
But To that “polite” no, Fedez would have reacted badly. From there, a spiral of tensions would have triggeredculminating in a series of public dissing that will see them protagonists for weeks, with stories of stories and mutual arrows (and from which Chiara Ferragni asked to be kept out).
To worsen things, the meeting for dinner with Chiara Ferragni, occurred shortly after the announcement of the separation from Fedez. We talked quietly, but with the paparazzi he became a scoop … Who knows who made that voice run ». The reference is to the insistent voices who wanted them lovers, fueled by stolen photos and comments on social media.
In the book there is also a surreal anecdote (but real, assures the author) who binds him forever to the former captain of Rome. An entire section of the Memoir is in fact dedicated to Francesco Totti, Tony’s first love: «Francesco Totti, the king of Rome. It is my first love. First there is him, then my mother».
Everything began years ago, under Christmas, after seeing Totti a There is mail for you I wearing an iconic white moncler: “I wanted it too much”. Tony Effe’s desire becomes action. With a friend He decides to “recover” a moncler similar to Piper, a well -known Roman disco. The plan is bad, And he ends up finding himself involved in a fight.
«One of the two pulls out a nunchaku, type bruce lee. I take it and in a moment I make him pass on the hood of a car. Then I blend the nunchaku under a car ». The escape is not enough: «The second after We are surrounded by three steering wheels and take us to the police station. Instead of robbery, social work and five years of conditional instead of aggression ».
Today, those episodes seem light years away. Tony is about to become father of Priscilla, the daughter waiting with Giulia De Lellisand proudly look at the concert at the Circus Maximus of 6 July. To promote the event he involved Totti, who plays with him in a spot.
In the prologue of the book, Tony Effe synthesizes the meaning of his story: «I take you to the life of Tony, Sosa, of a child named Nicolò. In this book I will talk about all my experiences, beautiful and ugly. I don’t know if I looked for the life that I live, but I know one thing: Everything I see becomes music, and in music I am myselfAlways”.
