TOP 10 powerful smartphones with an audio jack. There are plenty to choose from

After Apple removed the audio jack from the iPhone, many other manufacturers picked up on this controversial decision. First, they began to remove the minijack from the flagship lines, occasionally providing an adapter with USB Type-C as an alternative, and then the headphone jack was put under the knife in mid-budget models. To date, most smartphones with a 3.5 mm jack are inexpensive devices in the middle segment. Luckily, not all companies have followed suit, so if you want a high-performance smartphone that can easily connect standard wired headphones, this collection should interest you.

ASUS ROG Phone 5

From 52000 rubles

  • Display: 6.78″, AMOLED, 1080×2400, 144Hz.
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
  • Memory versions: 8/128, 12/128, 12/256, 16/256 GB.
  • Cameras: main 64 MP (f / 1.8) + wide-angle 13 MP (f / 2.4) + macro 5 MP (f / 2.0).

“Gaming” smartphones are, perhaps, the only category of devices in which the minijack still somehow remains. One of them is the 5th generation ASUS ROG Phone, which, in addition to the flagship chipset, a 144 Hz screen and touch triggers, has many more gaming bells and whistles, starting from the second USB Type-C port on the left side, which allows you to charge your smartphone directly. during the game, and LEDs on the back to a variety of accessories (cooler, removable gamepad and even an external screen). Other characteristics correspond, although the camera is inferior to many competitors, and the size of the device is rather big, as well as its weight.

ASUS Zenfone 8

From 62000 rubles

  • Display: 5.9″, AMOLED, 1080×2400, 120Hz.
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
  • Memory versions: 8/128, 8/256, 16/256 GB.
  • Cameras: main 64 MP (f / 1.8) + wide-angle 12 MP (f / 2.2).

The smartphone stands out not only for the presence of an audio jack, but also for its modest size – with a screen with a diagonal of 5.9 “its width is less than 69 mm, height – 148 mm, and thickness – less than 9 mm. The price of compactness is a small battery capacity (4000 mAh) All other features are completely flagship – top-end processor, high screen refresh rate (120 Hz), 16 GB of RAM in the maximum version, high-quality main and wide-angle cameras, IP68 protection.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G

From 24000 rubles

  • Display: 6.43″, AMOLED, 1080×2400, 90Hz.
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 900.
  • Memory versions: 6/128, 8/128 GB.
  • Cameras: main 64 MP (f / 1.8) + wide-angle 8 MP (f / 2.2) + macro 2 MP (f / 2.4).

A fairly new mid-budget device with everything you need: a light and fast shell reminiscent of “pure” Android, a high-quality and smooth screen with a fingerprint scanner, a good main camera, NFC, Wi-Fi 6. You can find fault with the relatively wide “chin”, secondary design and the lack of water protection, but the price completely eliminates these shortcomings.

realme 9 pro+

From 29000 rubles

  • Display: 6.4″, AMOLED, 1080×2400, 90Hz.
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 920.
  • Memory versions: 6/128, 8/128, 8/256 GB.
  • Cameras: main 50 MP (f / 1.8) + wide-angle 8 MP (f / 2.2) + macro 2 MP (f / 2.4).

A very interesting smartphone that changes its color under the sun. Of the pluses, it is worth noting a very cool flagship-level main camera with optical stabilization, a non-throttle processor, a beautiful screen, fast charging and NFC. Of the minuses – again, a large frame under the display and the inaccessibility of at least some protection against water and dust. In general, we get a completely balanced device, even a little “getting out” of its class.

Realme GT Master Edition

From 25500 rubles

  • Display: 6.43″, AMOLED, 1080×2400, 120Hz.
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G.
  • Memory versions: 6/128, 8/128, 8/256 GB.
  • Cameras: main 64 MP (f / 1.8) + wide-angle 8 MP (f / 2.2) + macro 2 MP (f / 2.4).

Another Realme smartphone with an optimal price / performance ratio. Pre-flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, good main and front cameras, fast charging (65 W), albeit with a not very capacious battery (4300 mAh), NFC. The unusual ribbed design of some versions distinguishes the device from competitors, there is nothing like it in this class.

Sony Xperia 1 IV

From 89500 rubles

  • Display: 6.5″, OLED, 1644×3840, 120Hz.
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
  • Memory versions: 12/256, 12/512 GB.
  • Cameras: main 12 MP (f / 1.7) + wide-angle 12 MP (f / 2.2) + zoom 12 MP (f / 2.3-f / 2.8).

An outstanding (and this Japanese company has no others) Sony flagship, whose hallmark is an elongated screen with an aspect ratio of 21:9, on which it is convenient to view both news feeds and photo social networks. In addition, this is also the only smartphone in our selection with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Complementing its screen with a resolution of 4K (1644 × 3840) without notches and with high hertz, excellent cameras, a 5000 mAh battery and IP65 level protection / IP68. However, there are also enough shortcomings – the processor quickly overheats even in shooting mode, there are software errors, and the display did not receive a dynamic refresh rate.

If you want to save a little, without much loss in performance, then you can look towards the predecessor – Sony Xperia 1 III. The chipset in it is also of the previous generation – Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, the battery is slightly smaller (4500 mAh), and the zoom – and the selfie camera are not significantly worse.

For those who need an even cooler camera, Sony has prepared the Xperia PRO-I model with an inch (!) sensor.

Sony Xperia 5 III

From 53000 rubles

  • Display: 6.1″, OLED, 1080×2520, 120Hz.
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
  • Memory versions: 8/128, 8/256 GB.
  • Cameras: 12 MP (f/1.7) + 12 MP wide-angle (f/2.2) + 12 MP zoom (f/2.3-f/2.8).

Also the flagship of Sony, but a little smaller. The screen of the Xperia 5 III is not much larger than that of the compact ASUS Zenfone 8 (6.1″ versus 5.9″), but its aspect ratio is branded 21:9, that is, it is even more convenient to hold it. In terms of other characteristics, this is an almost complete copy of the Xperia 1 III, even the battery of the same volume (4500 mAh). The smartphone got rid of only the ToF-module in the camera block and received the amount of RAM reduced to 8 GB. In addition to the audio jack, there is also such a “dinosaur” as a microSD card slot, the phone boasts decent performance and good autonomy, but is prone to overheating.

Xiaomi Black Shark 4 Pro

From 47000 rubles

  • Display: 6.67″, AMOLED, 1080×2400, 144Hz.
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
  • Memory versions: 8/128, 8/256, 12/256, 16/512 GB.
  • Cameras: main 64 MP (f / 1.8) + wide-angle 8 MP (f / 2.2) + macro 5 MP (f / 2.4).

Another gaming smartphone, now from Xiaomi’s gaming division. There is no additional USB Type-C connector as in ASUS ROG Phone 5, but there are mechanical triggers hidden in the case. Otherwise, it’s a real flagship: Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 with a good cooling system that prevents significant heating, fast memory, a display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, 120 W fast charging (less than 25 minutes from 0% to 100% with a capacity of 4500 mAh), complete set of wireless modules. You can only find fault with the average quality of the camera, but for a gaming smartphone, it is perhaps not so important.

It is worth paying attention to the younger brother – Xiaomi Black Shark 4 without the “Pro” index. The main differences are Snapdragon 870, a 48 megapixel main camera, other memory configurations (for example, 6/128 and 12/128 GB versions are available, but there is no 16/512 GB version) and a slightly grown battery – 4800 mAh.

Xiaomi POCO X3 Pro

From 24500 rubles

  • Display: 6.67″, IPS, 1080×2400, 120Hz.
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 860.
  • Memory versions: 6/128, 8/128, 6/256, 8/256 GB.
  • Cameras: main 48 MP (f / 1.8) + wide-angle 8 MP (f / 2.2) + macro 2 MP (f / 2.4) + depth sensor 2 MP (f / 2.4).

A successful upgrade to the already hit POCO X3 – instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G, the smartphone received the flagship Snapdragon 860, it was slightly overclocked by the RAM and the internal memory was increased. On the other hand, the main camera has become a little worse. In general, the characteristics are very good – a huge 5160 mAh battery (due to which the smartphone, so to speak, is felt in the hand), fast charging, stereo speakers, infrared, NFC. Among other things, this is also the only device in our selection with an IPS screen, while the refresh rate is the same as on competitors with OLED displays – 120 Hz.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G

From 24500 rubles

  • Display: 6.67″, AMOLED, 1080×2400, 120Hz.
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 920.
  • Memory versions: 6/128, 8/128, 8/256 GB.
  • Cameras: main 108 MP (f/1.9) + wide-angle 8 MP (f/2.2) + macro 2 MP (f/2.4).

Redmi Note is probably the most popular and certainly the most numerous line of Xiaomi, and this is its flagship device. The feature set is really impressive (especially for its price) – a powerful and cool chipset, ultra-fast 120W charging, JBL-tuned stereo speakers, IP53 water and dust resistance, NFC, fashionable design with flat edges. The cameras let us down a bit, but their level is still “above average”.
