The first major reduction in the cost of AMD Ryzen 5000 processors happened after the announcement of Alder Lake last fall, and now there is a new round of price war: the 16-core flagship Ryzen 9 5950X has fallen in price to a minimum both in the US and in Europe.

Overseas, local retailer Microcenter is offering the Ryzen 9 5950X for $520. There have never been such prices for this CPU. Along with the flagship, other top models also fell in price: the cost of the 12-core Ryzen 9 5900X dropped to $370, and the price of the 8-core Ryzen 7 5800X dropped to $320. It’s now $130 cheaper than the latest Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and although the model with huge cache is technically positioned higher, it does not support overclocking, unlike the regular Ryzen 7 5800X.

As for Europe, there are also very good offers for the Ryzen 5000. So, in the German aggregator Geizhals, Ryzen 9 5950X for 530 euros, Ryzen 9 5900X for 405 euros and Ryzen 7 5800X for 320 euros were found.
