Alpha Bank is launching a new page for its two subsidiaries, Alpha Finance and Alpha Asset Management.
Specifically, from 1.1.2022 Mr. Dimitris Costopoulos takes over as CEO of Alpha Finance, until today head of the Institutional Investor Relations (IR) Division of the Group.
From the same date, Mr. Panagiotis Antonopoulos takes over as CEO of Alpha Asset Management AEDAK, to date Alpha Bank Budget and Control Manager.
Messrs. Costopoulos and Antonopoulos succeed Paris Vassiliadis and Kimonas Volikas, whom the Alpha Bank Group thanks for their long-term and substantial offer.

Short biography of Dimitrios I. Costopoulos
He was born in 1975 in Athens. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services sector, holding positions in various business sectors of the Alpha Bank Group.
He started his career in the stock exchange subsidiary of the Group, Alpha Securities SA. (later Alpha Finance) as a trainee. He has worked in the Treasury Division in the Derivatives Division, in the Private Banking Division and in Alpha Asset Management as a Mutual Fund Manager.
Since October 2011 he is the Head of Investment Relations of the Group and during his tenure the Bank significantly expanded its institutional share base while actively participating in the four key share capital increases successfully achieved by Alpha Bank from 2013 to 2021. .
Also during this period, the Investor Relations team of Alpha Bank was repeatedly named by Extel Survey as the first in Greece in the field of investment relations, but he has also been awarded as the 1st best IR Professional in Greece and 13th in Europe among European banks under the same institution.
He holds an MSc in Shipping Trade & Finance from Bayes (formerly Cass) Business School.
Short biography of Panagiotis D. Antonopoulos
He was born in 1970 in Athens.
He returns to Alpha Asset Management AEDAK having, during the last 5 years, he has been the head of the Group’s Budget and Efficiency Monitoring, after the invitation of the current CEO Mr. Vassilis Psaltis.
Mr. Antonopoulos’s career began in 1997 at the Bank of Greece under the supervision of Banks and he participated in working groups of the European Central Bank (Banking Developments) and the European Council (E-money). This was followed in 2001 by his 15-year tenure in the investment management of Alpha Asset Management, with distinctions in the returns of the mutual funds, taking top positions before the competition. In the period 2009-16 he was Chief Investment Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Alpha Asset Management, taking every year the first place among the Greek managers in the annual survey of Extel.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance (MBA in Finance) from the City University Bayes Business School in London and a degree in Mathematics from the University of Patras.
