Top Nvidia graphics cards are getting cheaper all over the world. The cost of the GeForce RTX 3080 in one day in Australia fell by 35%

If in Russia, due to the situation caused by sanctions, the devaluation of the ruble and the suspension of the supply of components, video cards have greatly increased in price, then in other markets there is a reverse trend – 3D accelerators are becoming more affordable. And we are talking not only about the models of the initial and middle levels, but also the top ones too.

In Australia, according to the source, in just one day, the cost of the GeForce RTX 3080 fell by 35%: the Asus GeForce RTX 3080 TUF Gaming OC cost 2300 Australian dollars, and the next morning the price dropped to 1500 dollars (that’s about 1110 US dollars). This is already much closer to the recommended price of the model ($700 in the US).

And in Europe, the top GeForce RTX 3090 is getting cheaper: its cost has fallen to 1990 euros – the price has rolled back to the level of August 2021. For comparison, back in early January, the GeForce RTX 3090 cost about 2,500 euros in Europe.

Various sources have repeatedly pointed to one of the reasons for the decline in prices – the need to unload overstocked warehouses, because new models are already looming on the horizon of the foreseeable future. If not in Russia and Belarus, then at least other countries. However, there are still many events ahead that will put pressure on the market, and under the influence of which prices will continue to fall: this is the introduction of Ethereum 2.0, and the release of discrete Intel video cards, and the gradual disposal of miners from their equipment, the payback period of which has greatly increased lately.
