Demand for domestic and international flights by the airline Azul, measured by the RPK indicator, grew 40.1% in June compared to the same period last year, the company said on Thursday, accumulating a rise of 63.8% in the second quarter.
Azul’s total flight offer based on ASK rose 35.8% in the month and 59.6% between April and the end of June, both in the annual comparison, according to the company.
The airline’s aircraft load factor in June was 79.3% compared to 76.8% in the same month of 2021. In the quarter, it was 78.7%, up 2 percentage points from a year earlier.
Considering only the domestic market, Azul’s demand grew 26.3% in June and supply increased 27.6%. In the quarter, growth rates were 50% and 51.6%, respectively, over a year earlier.
Around 11:10 am, Azul’s shares rose 3.5%, at 12.05 reais each, while the Ibovespa appreciated by 1.9%.
