Total exchange flow in December until the 16th is negative at US$ 3.86 billion, says BC

After ending November with net inflows of US$ 3.467 billion, the country registered a negative foreign exchange flow of US$ 3.860 billion in December, up to the 16th, informed this Wednesday (21) the Central Bank (BC).

The financial channel showed net outflows of US$ 3.400 billion in the period. This is the result of contributions in the amount of US$ 34.228 billion and withdrawals totaling US$ 37.628 billion. The segment brings together foreign direct and portfolio investments, profit remittances and interest payments, among other operations.

In foreign trade, the balance up to December 16 was negative at US$ 460 million, with imports of US$ 10.975 billion and exports of US$ 10.514 billion. Exports include US$ 1.249 billion in Advances on Exchange Contracts (ACC), US$ 1.654 billion in Prepayments (PA) and US$ 7.611 billion in other inflows.

The financial channel presented a net outlet of US $ 2.943 billion a week, resulting from contributions of US $ 17.055 billion and shipping total of US $ 19.998 billion. In foreign trade, the balance last week was positive at US$ 43 million, with imports of US$ 5.079 billion and exports of US$ 5.121 billion. Exports include US$ 573 million in Advances on Exchange Contracts (ACC), US$ 940 million in Prepayments (PA) and US$ 3.608 billion in other inflows.

The exchange flow for the year up to December 16 was positive at US$ 18.196 billion, informed the Central Bank. In the same period of last year, the result was positive at US$ 9.567 billion. In the closed year of 2021, there was a net inflow of US$ 6.134 billion.

The net outflow through the financial channel was US$ 16.084 billion. The result is the result of investments in the amount of US$ 564.186 billion and withdrawals totaling US$ 580.271 billion. The segment brings together foreign direct and portfolio investments, profit remittances and interest payments, among other operations.

In foreign trade, the accumulated annual balance was positive at $ 34 281 billion, with imports of US $ 228 391 billion and exports of US $ 262 672 billion. Exports include US $ 32.868 billion in advance exchange contract (ACC), US $ 57 957 billion in advance payment (PA) and US $ 171 847 billion in other tickets.
