After ending August with net inflows of US$ 217 million, the country registered a negative foreign exchange flow of US$ 3.850 billion in September, the Central Bank reported this Wednesday (5th), the first result of net withdrawals since May (US$ 5.760 billion).
The financial channel showed net outflows of US$ 5.817 billion in the period. This is the result of contributions in the amount of US$ 61.345 billion and withdrawals totaling US$ 67.162 billion. The segment includes direct and portfolio foreign investments, profit remittances and interest payments, among other operations.
In foreign trade, the September balance was positive at US$ 1.967 billion, with imports of US$ 21.399 billion and exports of US$ 23.366 billion. Exports include US$ 2.430 billion in Advance on Exchange Contracts (ACC), US$ 4.385 billion in Advance Payment (PA) and US$ 16.552 billion in other inflows.

According to the BC, the foreign exchange flow registered last week (from September 26 to 30) to Brazil was positive by US$ 45.0 million, informed the Central Bank.
The financial channel had a net outflow of US$ 3.338 billion in the week, as a result of investments in the amount of US$ 14.515 billion and remittances totaling US$ 17.853 billion.
In foreign trade, the balance last week was positive at US$ 3.383 billion, with imports of US$ 4.863 billion and exports of US$ 8.246 billion. Exports include US$ 983 million in ACC, US$ 1.707 billion in PA and US$ 5.557 billion in other inputs.
Year to date
According to the BC, the exchange flow for the year through September was positive at US$ 17.335 billion. In the same period last year, the result was positive at US$ 18.712 billion. In the closed year of 2021, there was a net inflow of US$ 6.134 billion.
The net outflow through the financial channel in 2022 until September was US$ 16.321 billion. The result is the result of investments in the amount of US$ 433.295 billion and withdrawals totaling US$ 449.616 billion.
In foreign trade, the accumulated annual balance was positive at US$ 33.656 billion, with imports of US$ 176.410 billion and exports of US$ 210.066 billion. Exports include US$ 27.180 billion in Advances on Exchange Contracts, US$ 48.146 billion in PA and US$ 134.740 billion in other inflows.
