The Hellenic Development Bank invests in the future of the Greek economy based on not only the economic performance but -mostly- the positive impact that its actions bring to the society.

In terms of corporate governance, half of the positions of general managers, directors and bosses are held by women, while 28% of the employees are up to 35 years old. At HDB, 92 of the 113 employees are graduates of higher education and postgraduate degrees.

HDB has undergone a complete transformation in recent months, with more than 70 new highly qualified and certified executives joining its potential. Today, the Hellenic Development Bank provides 113 jobs creating a working environment of security, equity and stability.

Breaks the “glass roof”

The Hellenic Development Bank demolishes the so-called “glass ceiling”, ie any obstacle to discrimination in the labor sector in relation to women, based on transparency and meritocracy.

Apart from the President and CEO, Athena Hadjipetrou, women were elected in all half of the positions of general managers, directors and superiors: 15 women in a total of 30 positions. When selecting executives, special emphasis was placed on isomeric staffing between the sexes at all hierarchical levels, based on competencies.

Equality is a core value of HDB and aims to be reflected in the internal structure, providing equal opportunities and cultivating a culture that respects and values diversity.
