“Europe is asking the United States for reciprocity in the reception of European tourists, especially in quarantine, as part of the easing of restrictions on Covid-19,” European Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton told RTL.
The 27 agreed on May 19 to allow entry to European Union travelers from third countries who have received the necessary doses of Covid vaccines circulating in the European Union.
Travelers should have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days before, with two doses of Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca or one dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Brussels has proposed that neither tests nor quarantine be required for fully vaccinated individuals, but the decisions ultimately belong to each Member State, according to the APE, citing AFP.
For example France, which opens from 9 June at travelers based on a color code, will continue to require a negative test (PCR or antigen) for travelers from the United States, whether vaccinated or not.

As for China, Thierry Breton said: “We are watching the pandemic. There is also reciprocity. “From the moment we welcome Chinese tourists, there should be reciprocity, a similar situation.”
