The competent agency of the Italian Ministry of Culture has found a temporary solution to meet the demands of tourists, without interrupting the cleaning of the historic Trevi Fountain, which is located in the center of the Eternal City. For the past two weeks, the fountain has been emptied and its marbles are being cleaned by specialized crews. Just below the steps of the Trevi Fountain, a small, square pool was placed, into which tourists can drop coins, as tradition dictates, making a wish for their personal life or to return to Rome. All this, pending permanent changes to this historically important site: a wooden overpass will soon be installed in front of the fountain and limit the number of tourists who will be able to visit it daily.
