Two more car companies announced the suspension of car production in Russia – Toyota and Mercedes-Benz. The decision of the Japanese company is reported by the Interfax agency with reference to the Nikkei Asia publication. We will remind, earlier Nikkei Asia wrote that Honda stops exporting cars, motorcycles and spare parts to Russia, and Mazda suspends the supply of components to its plant.

The suspension of the Toyota plant is associated with difficulties in the supply of spare parts from abroad. “Exports from Europe to Russia will also stop, and car sales will stop as soon as stocks run out. Service business such as maintenance will continue to operate“, the message says.
As for Mercedes-Benz, the German company is not only suspending its plant, but also the supply of cars and vans to Russia – until further notice.
