The Japanese automobile corporation Toyota is looking for a development team who can implement Web3 in its activities.
To this end, Toyota will support a Web3 Hackathon for Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAO) developers, hosted by Astar, a developer of a network of smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps). The winners, who will be determined by Toyota itself, will receive $100,000 to develop their project.
According to Astar founder Sota Watanabe, during the hackathon, the company intends to develop a DAO PoC (Proof-of-Concept) tool for Toyota employees. Employees of the car company are expected to use it when working with Astar products.
“In recent years, Toyota has faced the challenge of increasing the workload on managers due to the increased number of new projects and the growth of the team. Therefore, we chose DAO as a topic for development – we believe that with the help of DAO, you can organize activities within the company efficiently and quickly, ”writes Watanabe.
Now Toyota is looking for technologies that would later become a help for the car manufacturer. The hackathon will take place in the Astar metaverse, and participants will use the first-level blockchain developed by the company to develop their products.
Earlier, the American GPU manufacturer Nvidia published a forecast that in 2023, many automotive companies will use the metaverse in their work.
