Techno giants such as Apple, Amazon, Microsoft and Samsung are at the top of the “Best World Brands” rating, which, however, is not surprising. But in addition to IT companies, car manufacturers were also included in the Interbrand rating.
The most expensive, and the investigator, the best brand in the automotive industry was named the Japanese company Toyota. It managed to take seventh place in the overall ranking with a valuation of $ 54.1 billion, which is 5% more than last year. The German auto brand Mercedes-Benz also entered the top ten. It is in eighth place with an estimate of $ 50.8 billion, showing a 3% increase over the past year. The twelfth place in the overall ranking and the third among automakers was taken by BMW. The cost of the brand of the auto giant from Munich is estimated by experts at $ 36.2 billion.
The electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla deserves special mention. Elon Musk’s company took 14th place in the overall ranking of Interbrand with a declared value of $ 36.2 billion. At the same time, Tesla became the fastest growing brand in the entire history of Interbrand. Over the year, the company has risen in price by 184% – this is a record figure for all 22 years of existence of the “Best World Brands” rating. PayPal and Adobe have tied for the second place in brand value growth since 2020, but with their 36% growth, they are noticeably behind Tesla. The American electric vehicle manufacturer continues to shake the automotive world financially. But whether the growth will be sustainable, time will tell.
Interestingly, according to a similar study by BrandZ, Tesla was named the most expensive car brand in 2021 with a value of $ 42.6 billion. Toyota came in only second with $ 26.9 billion, down 5% from a year ago.
