Back in 2019, there were rumors that Toyota was planning to update the Aygo city hatchback, and today, March 17, a design studio from a European company presented a first look at the future car. The novelty was named Aygo X prologue, and it is more a compact crossover than a hatchback, but it should be clarified that the word prologue in the title indicates that the current body design is preliminary, which means that by the time of mass production it may well be changed. Although, of course, you should not expect cardinal body updates – perhaps the manufacturer will make only minor adjustments.
The main feature of the novelty, due to which the car was nicknamed the compact crossover on the network, is the increased ground clearance, as well as larger wheels – thanks to this, the Aygo X prologue has lost the appearance of a small family car. In addition, the car has got a rather impressive radiator grill, and the V-shaped LED optics smoothly transitions to the hood, encircling the front side of the car. Also on the front of the hood on a black glossy panel is the manufacturer’s logo. Headlights of a similar shape are installed at the rear of the car – they completely follow the contour of the fifth door.
Of the interesting features, it is also worth noting the mounts for mounting the bike on the rear of the body, and the manufacturer has installed action cameras in the rear-view mirrors. Probably, the last element will not reach the release, and the shape of the headlights is also questionable. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not yet provided any information about the interior of the novelty, but even without this, the novelty looks insanely interesting. Even if the new Aygo remains a classic urban hatchback, the new body design will instantly attract fans of fuel-efficient compact models. The announcement of the release version is promised to be held in the foreseeable future.
