Today, June 24th, Toyota’s European office shared some very interesting information about the update that will be integrated into the 2023 RAV4 vehicles – these vehicles will go on sale in the third quarter of this year (this is standard practice for modern car manufacturers). However, it’s worth immediately clarifying that the car’s appearance will not change – the manufacturer offers several new body color schemes, plus there is a two-tone Platinum White Pearl plus Midnight Black Metallic scheme, but the manufacturer did not change any body elements.
But there are important changes in the interior of the vehicle. The urban crossover with the makings of an SUV has received a modern customizable 12.3-inch digital instrument panel with four different design themes – Casual, Smart, Sport and Tough (the user can switch them in the settings). In addition, the owner of the latest version of the car can choose one of three information display modes, but, unfortunately, all these advantages will not be available in the basic version of the Toyota RAV4 – the simplest configuration will have a standard analog scale with arrows.

Also noteworthy is the brand new display of the infotainment system of the car – its diagonal is 10.5 inches, while in previous generations the manufacturer offered only 7 and 8 inches. In addition to the display, the multimedia system now boasts the ability to wirelessly connect to Apple CarPlay and the company’s cloud services (probably to receive firmware updates over the air). Of the interesting features of the new multimedia system, it is worth noting the smart voice assistant – if the user, for example, says that he is cold, the system will close the windows in the car and raise the temperature.

Additionally, as a paid option, a potential car owner can upgrade his multimedia system with an advanced navigator – it does not need an Internet connection, it can recognize traffic signs and even warn the driver about entering a special zone where restrictions on harmful emissions are set. Even for a surcharge, you can get a lot of features such as a collision avoidance system at intersections or a steer function to keep you in the lane.
Prices for the updated Toyota RAV4 have not yet been reported.
