The Brazilian trade balance recorded a surplus of US$ 754.5 million in the first week of February (1st to 6th).
According to data released this Monday (7th) by the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) of the Ministry of Economy, the value was reached with exports of US$ 4.743 billion and imports of US$ 3.988 billion.
Exports registered an increase of 30.3% in the daily average of February compared to the same period last year, with growth of 13.9% in Agriculture, increase of 30.4% in Extractive Industry and increase of 34.6% in sales of products in the Transformation Industry.
The daily average of imports increased by 23.4% in the period, with a drop of 41.2% in Agriculture, an increase of 151.2% in the Extractive Industry and an increase of 21.4% in products from the Manufacturing Industry.
Year-to-date through February 6, the trade balance has a surplus of US$ 540.1 million.
