The Brazilian trade balance registered a trade surplus of US$ 1.597 billion in the first week of October. According to data released this Monday, 10th, by the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) of the Ministry of Economy, the value was reached with exports of US$ 7.561 billion and imports of US$ 5.964 billion.
Year-to-date, the trade balance has a surplus of US$ 49.315 billion.
Exports registered an increase of 33.8% in the daily average of October compared to the same period last year, with growth of 118.2% in Agriculture, a decrease of 14.6% in the Extractive Industry and a 36.9% increase in sales of products in the Transformation Industry.
The daily average of imports increased 18.7% in the period, with a drop of 13.2% in Agriculture, a decrease of 38.4% in the Extractive Industry and an increase of 21.1% in products from the Manufacturing Industry.
