Trade balance has surplus of US$ 958.3 million in the 2nd week of February

The Brazilian trade balance registered a trade surplus of US$ 958.3 million in the second week of February. According to data released this Monday (13) by the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC), the value was reached with exports of US$ 5.484 billion and imports of US$ 4.527 billion.

The accumulated balance in February reached US$ 1.566 billion and, for the year, the surplus is US$ 4.145 billion.

Exports registered a drop of 12.4% in the daily average of October compared to the same period last year, with a drop of 27% in Agriculture, a decrease of 30.2% in the Extractive Industry and an increase of 0.7% in sales of products from Transformation industry.

The daily average of imports fell by 10.6% in the period, with a decline of 19.2% in Agriculture and Livestock, 53.3% in Mining and Mining, and a decline of 5.1% in products from the Manufacturing Industry.
