Trade deficit rises to 74.4 billion in March, all-time high

The trade balance deficit in March stood at 74.4 billion dollars, a figure slightly lower than the previous figure of 74,500 million and higher than the 70,500 million in February. The March deficit figure is the largest in history. The deficit in trade in goods was 91,600 million.

The dollar was not affected by the report. Later on Tuesday, the March factory orders report will be published, which is expected to show a rise of 1.3%. The official employment report will be released on Friday.
