One trader was killed during an attempted robbery On the afternoon of Tuesday (6), in Campo Grande, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. According to witnesses, Robson de Assis, well known in the region, was working at his store on Iaraquã road when he was surprised by a robber armed with a knife.

Also according to local reports, the victim would have reacted to the criminal’s approach and was eventually injured. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU-RJ) was triggered and confirmed the death on site.

In a statement, the Military Police Secretariat reported that police officers from the 40th BPM (Campo Grande) were called for a homicide occurrence at the aforementioned address. When they arrived, they found Robson lying on the ground. The place was preserved for the work of the expert.

The Capital Homicide Police Station (DHC) assumed the investigation of the case. Agents seek images from region security cameras that can help identify the perpetrator. The occurrence follows in progress.

Residents and merchants of the area showed dismay with the death of Robson, who, according to them, worked in local commerce for over three decades.
