Traffic ban for 58 hours in Kherson in view of Ukrainian counterattack

There is excitement in Kherson, as the Ukrainian counterattack is about to take place shortly, resulting in a 58-hour curfew Curfewaccording to authorities.

Specifically, the military command in Kherson announced today that a 58-hour curfew will be imposed from Friday evening, in view of the planned counterattack by the Ukrainian army.

From 8 pm on May 5th, a traffic ban will come into effect in Khersonwhich will last until 6 a.m. on May 8,” announced Prokudin, arguing that the measure is necessary to facilitate the work of the security forces.

The curfew in Kherson was announced as Kiev said it was “completing” preparations for a major counteroffensive by the Ukrainian army aimed at liberating occupied territories in eastern and southern Ukraine.

New Russian attacks

Today’s Russian attacks in Kherson region, southern Ukraine, claimed the lives of at least 21 people and injured another 48, according to a more recent tally announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“So far, (we know) 21 people have been killed and 48 injured,” Zelensky wrote tonight in a Telegram post, adding that “a railway station, a tool shop, a supermarket and a gas station” were affected.

According to the head of the regional military command, Oleksandr Prokudin, “Kherson continues to receive shots from Russian artillery.”
