A 39 -year -old man was arrested in the act with 11.6 kg of cocaine in the city of Petrolina, in the Pernambuco backlands. Part of the drug was packed with the image of Dreamworks’s powerful children’s film. The arrest occurred during a joint operation between police from different states.
The Police Station for Narcotrafficking (PE), with the support of military police from Pernambuco and PiauÃ, monitored the vehicle driven by the suspect. On BR 407, man was approached when driving at high speed.
During the survey, the police said they found a cocaine tablet hidden in the car lining.
The investigators already had the information that the suspect was storing more narcotics. With this, the searches continued in the property from where the driver had left. On site, agents found more drugs and other trafficking related materials.
In all, 11.6 kg of cocaine were seized, a 9mm caliber pistol, 23 ammunition, an amount of money (not specified) and the vehicle used by the investigated.
The man, who was being investigated a month ago for distributing cocaine in the backlands region, was charged in the act for the crime of drug trafficking and remains available to the courts.
