Tragedy in Cyprus: Dead 27-year-old dean – Her vehicle overturned

An accident in which a 27-year-old contractor lost her life corporal occurred at the Kornos camp of the National Guard, in Cyprus.

According to a relevant announcement of the Ministry of Defense of Cyprus, in the context of training driving that was carried out inside a camp of the National Guard, an accident occurred resulting in the serious injury of the 27-year-old Dean of SYOP Natalie Neophytou.

During the training, under conditions being investigated, at 11:00 am overturned the jeep type vehicle in which SYOP was riding together with a probationary reserve officer and a hoplite draw. The 27-year-old was rushed to the General Hospital of Nicosia where, despite the efforts of the doctors, she could not be kept alive, APE BPE reports.

The conscript hoplite, as well as the probationary reserve officer were transported to Larnaca General Hospital, where they received first aid and left without any serious injuries.

An order was issued to determine the causes of the accident research. The scene of the accident has been ruled out and the assistance of the Police has been requested for the investigation of the incident.

The Minister of Defense Charalambos Petridis expressed sincere condolences to the family and relatives of SYOP.

The President of the Republic of Cyprus said via Twitter that the grief over the tragic accident and the loss of the life of SYOP Natalie Neophytou, while on duty Nikos Anastasiadis. As President Anastasiadis points out, the state will stand by its family, which is already experiencing a tragic loss.
