In the video of the influencers Jessica Fernández could be seen on a normal day at the gym, she was recording and speaking into her microphone while a man is seen looking at her for a moment. Immediately she feels attacked and begins to get defensive, but she begins to struggle to put her weight on the bar, so the man approaches her to want to help her, which the girl interprets as a clear harassment. Watching the clip, Joey Swoll made some comments:

I want to share my point of view, on your page the video is complete. First of all, as I said, there is a big difference between looking at someone and staring at someone. Why did the subject look at you? You are in front of him, close to him and you are recording with your camera facing him and you are talking to yourself. Possibly he wonders what you are doing; that’s what i would do

You also ask yourself, ‘Why did he come to help you with the weights?’ In the video you can see that she noticed that you had problems putting the weight on. He saw that you had problems and wanted to help, that’s what kind people do. But it’s sad that you took an act of kindness this man did and turned him into a pervert in the gym. You tried to play the victim and you’re not. There are women who are harassed at the gym, but you are not one of them.

After the video went viral, it was concluded that Jessica had seen bullying where there had never been. Finally, the influencers He publicly apologized with a lengthy statement he posted on TwitLonger, acknowledging that he had made a serious mistake.

First of all, I want to sincerely apologize to the man at the gym where this all started. He didn’t do anything wrong to me and I blew our interaction out of proportion. I know a lot of people think that I’m just apologizing because I got called out for the video I posted and this is half correct.

I feel sorry for the men and women who deal or have dealt with true/false accusations of sexual assault or harassment and if I made their situations feel slighted by mine, I apologize to my fans who have supported me and been supporting through this, I was wrong and I will acknowledge this mistake.
