At least 68 people were injured when two trams collided in Strasbourg, eastern France, CNN affiliate BFm TV reported.
The Bas-Rhin Region Fire and Rescue Department asked to avoid the area to facilitate access for emergency services.
The accident happened on Saturday (11), when one of the trams changed tracks and collided with another stopped at Strasbourg’s central station, BFm TV reported.
The mayor of Strasbourg, Jeanne Barseghian, visited the injured at the scene. In a publication on social networkshe thanked the rescuers for their work.
