A girl regrets having consented to a sex change when she was 15 years old. Today she, at 24, she wants to have the appearance of a woman again. In addition, she assures that the mental health specialists ruined her life.
The only option this girl now has is to start taking female hormones to try to reverse some of the changes in her body, but since she underwent some surgeries, the damage is already irreversible.
Susana Domínguez was a Spanish teenager who was somewhat confused with her life. She didn’t know it at the time, but she was dealing with depression and she was suffering from schizoid disorder, which, according to the Mayo Clinic, is a condition in which the sufferer avoids social activities and interaction with other people.
Susana went to a psychologist who told her that she felt strange and thought that it was probably because he was a boy trapped in a girl’s body, so her psychologist referred her to a psychiatrist. Both specialists seconded Susana’s thoughts and decided that this was her diagnosis.
At the age of 15, Susana began hormone treatment, they also removed her breasts and even removed her uterus. He was now called Sebastian. But far from feeling better, her situation began to worsen. As time passed, she realized that she had made a serious mistake.
In interview for The worldSusana says that when she confronted her psychologist, he replied: “You were crying and you manipulated me. You manipulated me by crying, but I already knew that the sex change was not going to make you feel better. She then went to talk to her psychiatrist.
I also went to the first psychiatrist, to whom the psychologist referred me, taking it for granted that I was trans. Now, years later, she only tells me: ‘Oh, but you were very sure, you were very sure.’ I was 15 years old. How did they let me do that? How could she be sure of what she wanted?
Without giving further details, the Galician Health Service only responded to The world that all the protocols were complied with, but now Susana understands that the depression, schizoid disorder and autism spectrum disorder that she suffers from were the reason for how bad she felt and those specialists never warned her. Sadly, she stresses that she was only carried away by the information that appears on the Internet.
It was all from watching YouTube videos of people who had changed their sex and said their mental health had improved.
