The data were extracted from the Public Portal where the public servants’ payrolls are detailed. The parliamentarian will request explanations from the Minister of Defense, General Paulo Sérgio Nogueira de Oliveira, about the payment of these extraordinary remunerations.
Admiral Bento Albuquerque informed the CNN that the amount informed by the Transparency Portal is not a salary, but payments of an indemnity nature, received as a result of “the settlement of accounts resulting from my transfer to the reserve, after 47 years of effective service, which took place on the 31st March 2020.”
THE CNN requested the position of the others mentioned, in addition to the Ministry of Defense, the Army, Air Force and Navy and awaits their return.
