Trattorita EVVAI: comforting pizzas and pastas mark chef Luiz Filipe’s new home

When passing through Rua Joaquim Antunes, a specific facade catches your eye. Entirely in transparent glass, it is an invitation for the most curious to take a peek. Inside, a beautiful and imposing bar at the entrance, walls covered in paper that resemble a forest and furniture predominantly in a dark blue tone. It's the kind of place that delights the eyes and draws sighs just because of the decoration.

However, here, the focus is not on design but on the dishes that also delight the eyes, the bellies and draw many sighs.

At number 260, just a few steps from the award-winning Evvai, is the recently opened Trattorita Evvai . It is more informal than its older sister: there is no tasting menu there, it is just à la carte dishes with options that are real hugs in the stomach. Uncomplicated, with pasta, pizza (among the best in the city), meat and good options to share, but without losing the elegance that the name Evvai requires in all the details and preparations.

If not Evvai, chef Luiz Filipe prints his unusual creationsleaving the obvious and conquering with the gastronomic and cultural union of Brazil x Italy, at Trattorita the chef revisits his history with preparations and ingredients completely rooted in Italian cuisine, with dishes that bring back fond memories.
