Travis Kelce will spend Thanksgiving eating KFC without Taylor Swift

Spending Thanksgiving dinner together doesn’t seem to be in Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s plans this year.

Instead, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end will spend the holiday alone watching football and eating fast food while his girlfriend is in Brazil on tour.

He shared his plans during Wednesday’s episode of his “New Heights” podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce .

“I’m going to party with KFC because I won’t have anyone here,” he said with a laugh.

When Jason, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, invited his brother to his own family’s Thanksgiving dinner, Travis wryly said, “That’s exactly what I wanted to do this week.”

Kelce implies that what he really wanted to do was spend time with Swift, who was supposedly attending the Chiefs vs. Chiefs game. Eagles on Monday (20), in Kansas City, with her parents during a break from the Eras Tour.

With Swift and Kelce having the holiday off amid their busy work schedules, it seemed like a possibility that the couple could sit at the same Thanksgiving table.

However, Swift was unable to support Kelce backstage at Monday’s game, after having to postpone the show in Rio de Janeiro scheduled for Saturday (19) to Monday (20), due to the extreme heat in the city.

With the change of schedule, the singer did not leave Brazil and is in São Paulo, where she will perform on the 24th, 25th and 26th of November.

Kelce shared her gratitude for Swift during the podcast episode when discussing her new Christmas song “Fairytale of New York” a cover of the Pogues’ 1987 song featuring a duet with his brother Jason that was released last week.

The song reached No. 1 on iTunes, and the brothers credit Swift’s fans for helping push the single to the top of the music chart.

“Thank you, Taylor, thank you,” Kelce said on the podcast. “And thanks to the Swifties.”
