Russia celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union victory over Nazi Germany in World War II with a parade on Friday (9).
Chinese President Xi Jinping and several world leaders were present amid a strong security scheme to avoid Ukrainian attacks after three years of a devastating war.
Troops from more than a dozen countries participated in the Military Parade of Victory Day, each marching under the national flag itself, while their leaders watched from the stands.
Chinese troops representing the country’s armed forces also participated in the event.
The soldiers carried a large national flag of China as they marched in front of the main leaders’ podium.
Xi Jinping rose at the moment when army, Navy and China Air Force soldiers, marched through the Red Square.
Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke on Friday (9) that Russia will always remember and appreciate the contribution of allies to victory in World War II.
Putin, the Kremlin chief with more time in power since Josef Stalin, remained next to Xi, dozens of other Russian leaders and veterans in a covered podium next to Vladimir Lenin’s mausoleum in the red square, while the Russian troops marched.
