Tour guide Geraldo Magela Soares, aged 57, died after being run over in an accident involving two vehicles on Tuesday afternoon (29) in the center of Ouro Preto (MG).
A Kombi that was stopped was hit by a truck out of control. She walked down a street, show footage from the Municipal Civil Guard monitoring cameras.
“The Kombi turned abruptly with the impact, seriously injuring Mr. Geraldo Magela Soares”, said the Military Police (PM).
The driver of the truck, aged 80, said that the brake pedal did not work and could not avoid the accident, says the PM’s report.
In addition to the tour guide, known as Borrela, two other people were injured in the accident.
The injured, two men, were taken to Santa Casa de Ouro Preto, according to the Civil Police of Minas Gerais. A CNN seeks information on the health status of the injured.
The Civil Police launched an inquiry to determine the causes of the accident.
