A truck carrying 6,000 sticks of dynamite caught fire on Sunday afternoon (8), at km 193 of the Washington Luís Highway (SP-310), near the exit to Corumbataí (SP).
According to the Fire Department, the fire started in the truck’s cabin and there were some explosions, but the teams arrived at the scene in time to prevent the detonation of the cargo.
The fire was brought under control and there were no injuries. According to the Eixo SP concessionaire, the roads were completely cleared at around 11:30 p.m. Due to the risk of explosion, police officers from the Special Tactical Actions Group (Gate) were at the scene.
Fire in Castelo Branco
On Sunday night (8), another fire was recorded near the Castelo Branco Highway (SP-280), at km 57, between the municipalities of Araçariguama and São Roque.
The concessionaire CCR Viaoeste reported that the control center is monitoring the area and that the fire department has been notified. There is no blockage in the section.
