A truck driver was arrested transporting 84 kg of drugs on BR-101, in the municipality of São Cristóvão, in Sergipe. The arrest was released on Wednesday (8) by the Department of Narcotics (Denarc). The vehicle had left Guarulhos (SP) to Aracaju (SE).
According to police, agents were already monitoring narcotics from other states to Sergipe. The truck used by the suspect was identified and was accompanied by the teams.
“Initially, the trip started in Guarulhos, São Paulo, passed through Southeast states, followed by Bahia, and most of the cargo would be delivered to the capital Aracaju,” said Deputy Rafael Kaufer.
During the approach, the driver confessed to participation in the trafficking scheme. In the vehicle survey, police found different types of drugs – most of cocaine, crack and inputs used to mix narcotics.
The suspect, who had previously been arrested for illegal possession of a firearm, was charged in the act for drug trafficking. The investigations continue. “Other information about those involved will be raised.
