United States President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke today after the murder of two Israeli embassy officials last night, said Israeli ambassador Ychiel Leiter.
“The president reaffirmed his commitment to eradicate the violent anti -Semitism that has taken over the university campuses of this country,” Leiter said to reporters today outside the Jewish museum of the capital.
THE CNN contacted the White House about the call.
Leiter said he talked to Trump on Wednesday night (21) and met with Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Interim Prosecutor of Washington, DC, Jeanine Pirro, at the shooting site. He said the US President was “very firm in his statement expressing condolences and condemning violence.”
