Trump and other world leaders congratulate Noboa after victory in Ecuador

The president of United States , Donald Trump and other world leaders congratulated Daniel Noboa this Monday (14) for his victory in Ecuadorian elections.

“Congratulations to Daniel Noboa, who will be a great leader for the wonderful Ecuadorian people. He won’t disappoint you!” Trump wrote on social networks.

Gabriel Boric president of Chile also greeted paid for the victory at the polls.

“From Chile, we greeted the Ecuadorian people for their democratic participation yesterday. I congratulate President -elect Daniel Noboa for this new term that begins and we also recognize those, such as Luisa González, who contributed to strengthen the democratic debate with vision and courage,” Boric said.

The right -wing candidate Daniel Noboa was reelected president of Ecuador on Sunday (13), defeating the opponent Luisa González.

González of the Citizen Revolution Party stated at a press conference that he would not recognize the results.

The new term of the Ecuadorian leader will begin on May 24. His first presidential term began on November 23, 2023, after winning the elections called that same year to end the presidency of Guillermo Lasso, who left office after dissolving the National Assembly.
