US President Donald Trump said US Steel and Japanese Nippon Steel have reached an agreement on a “corporate cooperation”, assuring that the American Steel Company will maintain its presence in the United States, with its headquarters remaining in Pittsburgh. “This will be a scheduled partnership between United States Steel and Nippon Steel, which will create at least 70,000 jobs and add $ 14 billion to the US economy,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. According to the US president, most of the investment will be implemented within the next 14 months. Trump added that he would organize a large gathering at the American steel headquarters next Friday, May 30th.
