Trump government imposes more sanctions on Iran on the eve of the meeting

The Trump administration imposed more sanctions directed to Iranian oil today, on the eve of the expected negotiations between Washington and Tehran on Saturday (12).

The new sanctions of the US Treasury Department and the US Department arise while administration seeks negotiations about the Iran’s nuclear program, while continuing its “maximum pressure campaign” about the Iranian government.

The new sanctions of the State Department aim at a “China -based terminal operator”, which has received at least eight Iranian gross oil loads in recent years. ”

“The State Department is also designating three vessel management companies for its participation in Iranian oil transport and identifying two ships as blocked properties of two of these companies,” Tammy Bruce spokeswoman said in a statement.
