Former United States President Donald Trump briefly interrupted his rally in Michigan due to a medical emergency in the audience after beginning his speech on Friday (25).
“Should we listen to some cool music while we wait?” he said, asking for “Ave Maria” to play over the speakers as doctors attended to the problem, the second medical interruption during his remarks.
Trump interrupted a rally in Pennsylvania last week for a similar reason, before remaining on stage and calling for music for several songs, derailing the event’s format.
Several people in the crowd Friday saw the music playing as their cue to leave the rally significantly delayed.
“I’m sorry, but I got stuck… I figured you wouldn’t care as much because we’re trying to win,” Trump said at the campaign event.
The Republican presidential candidate said he was running late because he was recording a three-hour podcast with Joe Rogan, which he called “the longest interview I’ve ever done in my life.”
Many supporters remained at the event on a cold Friday night in northern Michigan, although the crowd thinned out during the long delay.
