Trump is fine, former president’s spokesman says after rally incident

Donald Trump’s spokesman Steven Cheung said the former president “is doing fine” after being injured at a rally on Saturday (13).

“President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their swift action during this heinous act. He is in good condition and is being evaluated at a local medical center. More details will be forthcoming,” Cheung said in a statement.

According to Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the United States Secret Service, the former president is safe.

“An incident occurred on the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former president is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and more information will be released when available,” Guglielmi said in a statement.

The case

Reporters at the scene reported hearing “a series of loud explosions or bangs” before Secret Service agents rushed toward Trump.

He came out with an injury to his ear and was bleeding. He also shouted back to the crowd and raised his fist.

The former president was later taken to a vehicle and removed from the scene.
