United States President Donald Trump began a meeting with Syria’s interim president Ahmed Al-Sharaa, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday (14), according to report in The Washington Post, after a surprising US announcement that would suspend all sanctions to Islamic government.
Despite the concerns of his government sectors about the old Syrian leaders with Al-Qaeda, Trump said on Tuesday during a speech in Riyadh that he would suspend sanctions to Syria in an important change of politics.
The US President agreed to greet Syria’s interim president Ahmed Al-Sharaa, who will be in Riyadh for meetings with the Gulf Cooperation Council.
