Trump on Biden: “He is the worst president in the history of our country”

When asked during the debate on the CNN on Thursday (27) about what he would do to make child care more accessible, Donald Trump continued his attacks on Joe Biden, arguing that, “This should not be a debate… He is the worst president in the history of our country.”

“If he wins this election, our country has no chance — not even a chance to get out of this rut. We probably won’t have a country anymore,” he continued.

Biden responded by citing a survey of historians that indicated Trump was the worst president in US history.

He claimed that Trump did “virtually nothing for child care” during his presidency.

“We must significantly increase the child care tax credit. We must significantly increase the availability of single parents to return to work. And we should encourage businesses to have child care facilities,” Biden added.

Historical debate

The debate on CNN between Joe Biden and Donald Trump is the first of the 2024 presidential race, reviving the confrontation between the Democrat and the Republican for the White House.

In a historic event, this is the first time a sitting president and a former president have debated in the United States.

The debate takes place in the studios of CNN in Atlanta, Georgia.
