Former President Donald Trump said Wednesday (4) that he would “let her talk” when asked about his upcoming debate with Vice President Kamala Harris.
“You know, when I was Biden, you and I had the same argument and I let you talk. I’m going to let you talk,” Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity during a sit-down interview in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
“It really depends on ABC, are they going to be fair or not?” Trump said. “I hope they are fair.”
ABC News officially announced the rules for next week’s presidential debate between Harris and Trump on Wednesday, with both candidates agreeing to a format in which microphones will be muted while the other is speaking.
Trump said Wednesday that Harris’s team “wanted notes” and “wanted a desk,” but that Trump objected. ABC News rules do not allow notes and candidates will stand behind podiums.
Trump also made the unsubstantiated claim that he had “heard” that Harris’s team would “get the questions in advance.”
