US President Donald Trump today signed an executive decree that commands the finance and trade ministries to establish a state investment fund, saying it could buy Tiktok. This application, which has about 170 million US users, was launched for a few hours on January 19th in the US, when the law required by the owner company, Chinese byTedance, was implemented to sell it for reasons of national security. Immediately after his swearing -in on January 20, Trump signed another executive decree, which suspended this law for 75 days. The Republican president has stated that he is discussing with various investors the acquisition of Tiktok and will probably make a decision on the future of the popular implementation on Friday.
