Trump picks Sean Duffy, ex-congressman and father of many, to be US transportation secretary

Donald Trump revealed yesterday, Monday, that he is selecting Sean Duffy for the position of Secretary of Transportation. Duffy, 53, has previously distinguished himself as a contestant on reality TV, having worked as a prosecutor, barrister and MP. A father of nine and an advocate of fiscal “responsibility”, he will oversee the ministry’s extensive portfolio, which includes everything from infrastructure investment to setting transport regulations. “During his time in Congress, Sean has been a respected voice in Republican ranks, promoting fiscal responsibility and economic growth,” the Republican president-elect said in a statement.
