US President Donald Trump postponed the scheduled Friday’s phone conversation with Panama President Jose Raul Moulino due to sudden changes in his program, the Panama government announced. The postponement comes amid the tension created by Trump’s threats to “regain” control of the Panama Canal. The Panamaic Foreign Ministry will announce when the two leaders will talk after the two sides are coordinated, the government added. Mr Moulinos complained that the US was spreading “lies” as the State Department argued that ships belonging to the US state would pass through the Panama Canal.
