The former president of the USA Donald Trump, which has been shut down by Twitter, Facebook and other social networking platforms following the Capitol riots, plans to launch its own website in two to three months, one of his advisers told Fox News.
Jason Miller, who represented Trump in the 2020 election campaign, told the network that the former president would return to social networking sites with a new, his own platform that “will completely redefine the game.” Miller did not elaborate. Executives of the Trump Organization, the former president’s company, did not comment.
Last week, Twitter announced that it would seek a public consultation on how and when it should exclude country leaders from its services. As he said, he is reviewing his policy and examining whether leaders should be subject to the same rules as ordinary users. Facebook, which suspended Trump’s accounts indefinitely in January, has asked its independent oversight committee to decide whether the ban will continue.
