The president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, promised that the new government will cooperate with investigations into a hit-and-run accident that left at least 10 people dead in New Orleans this Wednesday (1st).
“Our hearts go out to all of the innocent victims and their loved ones, including the brave officers of the New Orleans Police Department. The Trump Administration will fully support the city of New Orleans as they investigate and recover from this act of pure evil!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The Republican also stated in the post that crime rates in the United States were reaching unprecedented numbers.
“When I said that the criminals coming into the country are much worse than the criminals we have here, that statement was repeatedly refuted by Democrats and the fake news media, but it turned out to be true,” Trump said.
There is still no information on the identity of the suspect. A source of CNN said authorities are investigating possible connections the suspect may have to the state of Texas.
More than 30 people were injured after a vehicle plowed into a crowd in New Orleans. According to a source from CNN the suspect is dead.
