United States President Donald Trump said the US government is analyzing if it would be legal to send violent and dangerous American criminals to other countries, such as El Salvador.
The Central American country recently offered to house them in exchange for a rate, according to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
“If we had the legal right to do this, I would do in a blink of an eye. I don’t know if we have or not. We are analyzing this now. But we could make agreements in which we would take these animals out of our country, ”Trump said at the Oval Hall.
“I would love to get them out of our country,” Trump added.
The American also told reporters that “several” other countries offered to house violent US criminals, not just El Salvador.
“Everything would be subject to the laws of the country, and we are analyzing this to see if we can do that,” said Trump.
